After having successfully installed 'Parallels Desktop 13' and Windows 10 from an ISO file on my new iMac I wanted to activate 'Windows 10' (Edition 'Windows 10 Home Single Language') which inevitably leads to the activation error 0xc004f050: 'The product key you entered didn't work. Check the product key and try again, or enter a different one.'.
All hardware and software equipment is brandnew. I had just purchased it from a licensed seller (Gravis).
I contacted several times Microsoft Support who confirmed that my license is a valid Windows 10 license with a correct product key. However, neither Apple Support nor MS Support hotlines were of help because they both refused to support Windows on Mac running on a virtual machine with Parallels Desktop 13.
Parallels' Support made me reinstall both Parallels and Windows. This, however, led to the same problem decribed above.
